Hello, welcome to my site.

Each piece begins with a  black background and only white paint is thinly added to slowly build  the subject, something like a negative. (The demonstration above shows a glimpse of the process).   Building the intensity of light against dark is a slow process and takes a great deal of patience and diligence.  Color is the last step added to the work, the color is veiled on the under painting allowing the color to find its way across the painting giving it depth and drama.  My main focus has been still life, landscape, portraits and floral details but  I also enjoy finding a subject that will tell its own story.   Working from my home in Spring  Branch , Texas I am  always striving to find that one magical  stroke that brings the painting to life.  I consider myself extremely fortunate to be able to share my passion with those who view my work.  Please enjoy the show.
